To coincide with the exhibition and publication ‘Birded and Eyed’, Rabley Gallery is pleased to present a selected group of Sarah Gillespie’s new mezzotints, including Leopard Moth, Breton Print, Clouded Border and Orpheus. These works are part of Gillespie’s continuing study of moths, birds, landscape and the fragile life of the natural world. Through the deep tonal beauty of mezzotint, each image holds a quiet intensity — forms appearing from darkness, light and shadow.
