Sadie Tierney – Lift: Dusk

Part of a limited edition series, this lithograph and others are informed by Sadie’s various sketches and drawings recording glimpses of some of the incredible places she has travelled to. A combination of dappled sunset sky, and expressive mountain landscape inspires both awe and adventure.

Working in a tradition of an English landscape painter and printmaker, Sadie Tierney explores objects and places where form is linked to emotion and metaphor. Her expressive prints and paintings spring from sketches and drawings made en plein air and are marked by their celebratory use of colour and line.

Sadie Tierney was born in London and grew up in Chichester, UK. She currently lives in the Isle of Wight with her family. She studied at the Royal College of Art, MA (RCA) Fine Art Printmaking and BA(Hons) Fine Art, at Newcastle University.
