About Artist

Katherine Jones is a painter and a printmaker; her ideas are often exchanged between watercolour, etchings and collagraph prints. She builds layers, overlays marks and colour to create rich nuanced surfaces. Jones was brought up in Herefordshire, she studied at Cambridge School of Art, and MA Fine Art Printmaking at Camberwell College of Art, (1998-2001). She currently lives and works in Brixton, South London.

Katherine Jones is currently part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2024 hanging committee, selecting artworks for the prestigious and upcoming exhibit. In addition to this, she is teaching a group of MA students at KHiO Oslo, Norway. 

Jones is preparing for an upcoming residency at Glasgow Print Studio in July 2024.
