Molly Martin: Artist in Focus
London Art Fair 2023
16th January – 21nd January 2023
Stand 11, Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington
We are delighted to be introducing new graduate Molly Martin with a series of oil drawings on panel and small paintings at the upcoming London Art Fair.
The poetic and emotional nature of Molly’s work combines compositional references to Ken Kiff, Marc Chaghall and Charlotte Salomon with the artists own vision as she observes the complexities of human behaviour within social interactions and relationships – questioning feelings around power, confusion, anxiety, pressure, expectation alienation and regret!
We have recently stocked our Print Shop will all available works by Molly Martin.

Artist in Residency at Rabley Gallery
September 2023
After her week visiting the Rabley Gallery studios in September 2023, we reflect on Molly Martin’s time spent working on new print editions and monotypes.
Molly Martin will continue to work at Rabley’s print studios over the coming years making exclusive monotypes now available.
Of her time she writes: ‘Thrilled, delighted, happy and elated to be joining Rabley Gallery as part of their roll call of artists … it’s a bit of a dream. Thank you for having me Rabley Gallery – what a delight! I feel very lucky to be part of such a wonderful family‘ – Molly Martin

About
Molly Martin trained at Falmouth, and is currently studying for an MA in Fine Art at City and Guilds in London.
Through drawing, printmaking and painting, Molly endeavours to better process complicated human relationships and interactions, and observe them through a wider lens of humour and playfulness. Her work is figurative, and often plays with narratives that speak of overall themes rather than a specific story.
Here, semi-swaddled, squashed figures encounter strange and symbolic surroundings in chaotic and ambiguous landscapes.
