As the days shorten we are celebrating winter with a warm glow, highlighting our December Collection by Nana Shiomi and Lucy Farley.
On a recent visit to Nana’s studio I received a beautiful gift from the artist of five red Japanese lacquered bowls. These have inspired this month’s hanging for our December Collection with two of my favourite woodcuts by Nana Shiomi. Having lived in London for 35 years, next year Nana will be returning to live in Japan. Rabley will continue to represent her artwork with a large selection of woodcuts from her lifetime as a dedicated and brilliant printmaker.
Rabley is also publishing two new fine art prints by Lucy Farley. Lucy has been working with Argento Editions to make these timeless, hand finished woodland prints, ‘September in Denmark’ and ‘Into the Woods’. We are delighted to present them in our December Collection at a special pre-publication price. They are displayed alongside ceramics by Emily Myers.
Rabley Gallery returns to the London Art Fair in January with original works by Sarah Gillespie, Katherine Jones RA, Eileen Cooper RA, Lucy Farley and Natasha Michaels.
